On May 12, the mother of six shared an emotional tribute on Instagram to mark the anniversary, writing “to say I’m heartbroken is a severe understatement.” The post featured a carousel of nine photos in which James, who died at age 48 on February 11 after his years-long journey with stage 3 colorectal cancer, can be seen alongside Kimberly and the couple’s children.
