The Open Day at Twyford Waterworks on Sunday 7th June 2026 was the second open day for the 2026 season. In this video, it included the majestic 1914-built Hathorn Davey Steam Pumping Engine No. 6579 at work utilising steam from the 1903 and 1906-built Babcock & Wilcox Water Tube Boilers, the small 1934-built Ruston 3VCR Diesel Pumping Engine running, lots of other smaller engines and pumps in operation, along with visiting exhibits and displays such as two stationary engines, a 2009-built Steam Traction World Lykamobile Steam Car owned by Rod Southern and in the care of the South Hants Historic Steam Society at The Brickworks Museum (also known as Bursledon Brickworks) in Swanwick within the Borough of Fareham, which is a replica of a Locomobile Steam Car, and a miniature traction engine.
