My title, 'Of Bombers and Gliders and Peaceful Countryside' can only mean one thing.......a walk that takes in the historic Tarrant Rushton Airfield. And this one does that and so much more. It also takes in the idyllic village of Tarrant Rushton with its interesting church, the picturesque Tarrant Valley, the delightful hamlet of Hemsworth, and so much more. And all on a beautiful, cold but sunny winter day. Tarrant Rushton Airfield played a big part in the D Day landings. Find out what they were responsible for in this video whilst enjoying a walk in what is now a very peaceful and beautiful part of Dorset. A place of war is now a place where peace reigns.
