Inside Thane’s Famous FOOD STUDIO | Mutton Sulemani, Butter Chicken, Biryani, Modak Ice-cream 😍

The moment I walked into The Food Studio in Thane, it felt special — like a place made for everyone - for families to celebrate life together, for causal dining - From kids to elders...Ek jagah joh laye sabke chehre par muskaan. We began with their playful Crackling Spinach with Paneer – sweet, tangy, spicy, all dancing together in one bite, with that beautiful crunch of spinach and the softness of paneer. Then came Mystic Marley – full drama in presentation, full flavour on the tongue. The meal kept unfolding like a delicious story… Slow-cooked, comforting Mutton Suleimani, a beautiful layered sabzi (Tehedaar Subzi) where you choose your own flavour journey, and a Punjabi-style Chicken Biryani – lightly smoky, nicely spiced, not overly oily, with rice that carries its own flavour. And then came… the true HERO of The Food Studio – their Butter Chicken. Tandoor-roasted, bone-in, with that slight charcoal-ish feel and just the right balance of creaminess and masala. Not overly sweet, not shy on flavour. This one genuinely blew my mind & stayed on my taste buds. To end, they surprised me with a beautiful Modak Ice Cream – a Maharashtrian favourite reimagined – and my absolute weakness, Filter Coffee ice cream, done just right. What touched me beyond the food was the story of the place. Directors Karan Singh and Pankaj Rathod started The Food Studio back in 2011, when “casual dining” wasn’t really a thing. They took a risk — "risk hai toh ishq hai" as Karan said it — and built a space where you get the comfort of a family restaurant with the vibe of a lounge and sports bar. Their biggest strength? A team that has grown with them over 14 years — chefs, captains, accountant, staff who stayed, learned, and became leaders. If you are looking for a place that serves amazing Multi-cuisine under one roof — Italian, Continental, Chinese, Mughlai, Thai, Mexican, Indian — but with a heart that beats for families eating together.... then The Food Studio could be your next go-to-place.
