Israel Pounds South Lebanon: Forced Evacuations Ordered for 9 Villages as Crisis Explodes Following instructions for the forcible evacuation of nine different communities, Israel began a wave of intensive bombings throughout southern Lebanon, sparking a tremendous military escalation that has engulfed the Middle East.
