Description
You can watch HOW these parts were thrown here: https://youtu.be/ZB7hwIzeHEs
This weekend, I'm assembling the teapot parts you may have seen me throw in last week's video. This is the tricky part, the part where so much can go wrong. It's a real test of a potters might as it's an accumulation of so many skills, throwing, trimming, lids, galleries, spouts, handles, drying, all of which must be done properly in order to end up with a successful teapot. One that pours properly, doesn't drip or dribble and has a lid that fits securely in place.
So, I'll be taking you through that entire process in this film, I'm working on a pair of small, quite simple vessels, with inset lids that perch upon a gallery. I've also included what I hope are some useful, informative sketches and cross-sections to better explain some of the topics discussed.
I hope you find the video helpful, please do let me know if you have any questions and I'll do my best to answer them in the comments!
Thanks for watching!
