3.0L Hurricane Torque Is WILD — Ram 1500 Lights the Tires

The 3.0L twin-turbo Hurricane in the Ram 1500 continues to surprise me — especially when it comes to torque delivery. In this clip, I show just how easily this engine will light up the tires from a standstill, and even more impressive is what happens when you’re already rolling and the truck kicks down a gear. Throttle response is almost immediate. There’s essentially no noticeable turbo lag, and when the transmission downshifts, the truck delivers a solid punch that honestly feels more like a big displacement V8 than a small boosted inline-six.
