The professional leagues in Australia are falling short of what they promised to deliver with 'some pretty significant challenges'. While the national teams, the Socceroos and Matildas, are dominant brands, and football is the sport with the highest participation rates in the country, the financial health of the game at club level is struggling. According to Busch, it's a bigger vision that is necessary, not a scaled-back version.
