Better for the City - Good of the City - January 11

Sometimes following Jesus doesn't mean going somewhere, but staying where you are. Discussion Questions: 1. Seeking the good of our city (v.7) - God tells the exiles to care about the place where they live, even though it isn’t their true home. What are some simple ways your church can seek the good of our neighbourhood while still following Jesus in a different way? 2. Staying faithful for the long haul (vv.4–6, 10) - Instead of escaping quickly, God tells the people to build lives where they are. How does this speak to being patient and faithful in our everyday lives, even when things don’t change as fast as we want? 3. Trusting God together (vv.11–13) - God promises hope and a future, but asks the people to seek Him with their whole hearts.
