This seal is absolutely furious. He has no way of knowing that the OCN team is his only hope, all he knows is that he is trapped, in pain, and being chased. As he wriggles out of the net to fight Naude with everything he’s got, the heartbreak of the situation becomes clear. He is brave enough to defend himself against a human, but he is completely defenseless against a loop of fishing line. Seals have no tools to cut themselves free. Without help, even the fiercest warrior in the colony will eventually succumb to injury, starvation, or suffocation.
