Description

MAX Orange is a BRT route introduced on Calgary's MAX line in 2018. It serves many key destinations on its route between Saddletowne and Brentwood C-Train Stations, including SAIT, Calgary University, a handful of hotels. MAX Orange also serves three of Calgary's many medical facilities; including Peter Lougheed near Rundle Station, the Foothills Medical Centre, and the Alberta Children's Hospital. The route is served by New Flyer D60LFRs and XD60s as well as the Nova LFS CNGs and has the highest ridership of the MAX family. This ride is recorded on a NFI XD60, which features the same powertrain as their older counterparts, resulting in some satisfying engine sounds for the Xcelsior family's standards. The MAX Orange's Hospital stops would become useful after riding Calgary's horrendous XD40s found in the video here: 🔔 Subscribe for more transit breakdowns, route anaylisis, and other transit-nerdy content! 👉 https://www.youtube.com/@carvolthproductions555?sub_confirmation=1
