The 2026 Mercedes-Benz CLA is a compact luxury sedan that introduces a major shift toward electrification and advanced technology. It is the first model to use Mercedes' new Modular Architecture (MMA) platform, which supports both electric and hybrid powertrains. The CLA will be available in two main configurations. The CLA 250+ has a single rear-mounted electric motor producing 268 horsepower and 247 lb-ft of torque. The CLA 350 4MATIC features dual motors with all-wheel drive, delivering a combined 349 horsepower and 380 lb-ft of torque. Both models use an 85 kWh lithium-ion battery, offering an estimated range of up to 492 miles (750 kilometers) on the WLTP cycle. DC fast charging allows an 80% charge in about 30 minutes. The design maintains its sleek, coupe-like silhouette with refined proportions and panoramic windows. Inside, the CLA features Mercedes' latest MBUX system, powered by the new MB.OS operating system for improved connectivity. A front trunk (frunk) is also included, adding extra cargo space. The CLA is positioned to compete with models like the Tesla Model 3, offering luxury, performance, and advanced technology. Its long range and fast charging capabilities make it a strong contender in the EV market. The 2026 Mercedes-Benz CLA is expected to launch in Europe and China first, with a U.S. release anticipated in the fall of 2025. Pricing details have not been announced yet.
