Marcos Jr. began his participation in Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week (ADSW) 2026 by attending the Opening Ceremony and Zayed Sustainability Prize Awards Ceremony at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Center in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) on January 13, 2026. Setting the stage for a week of impactful discussions and transformative collaborations, the ADSW 2026 Opening Ceremony brings together the global community, including Heads of State and world leaders, senior policymakers, industry specialists, technology pioneers and the next generation of sustainability leaders. It will serve as a catalyst for addressing urgent global challenges and advancing sustainable economic growth. Meanwhile, the Zayed Sustainability Prize hosted its 17th Awards Ceremony and stands as the UAE’s pioneering global award in sustainability. It highlighted the Prize’s worldwide impact and honored 11 winners by showcasing their outstanding contributions to building an inclusive and sustainable world. The ceremony also paid tribute to the legacy of Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the UAE’s founding father, and encouraged further action to advance the global sustainability agenda.
