Part 14 – The Coldest Ride of Our Lives ❄️ 🔥Our journey through Gilgit-Baltistan on the Yamaha R1 and Power Sultan 250cc continues into the heart of the frozen night. After hours on the road, we finally reached the iconic YAK Grill in Passu Village — a legendary stop along the Karakoram Highway (KKH) known for its mountain warmth and authentic local flavors. We treated ourselves to a well-deserved Yak steak and Yak karahi, a delicious yet heavy meal that made the freezing cold hit us even harder afterward! The warmth of the restaurant faded as soon as we stepped out, replaced by icy winds and sub-zero chills of the Hunza night. We explored a nearby hotel opposite the YAK Grill — but upon learning that electricity would shut down after 10 PM, we decided to continue riding deeper into the darkness. The moon was bright, the wind merciless, and the road ahead rough and unpredictable. Yet, guided by determination (and maybe a bit of madness), we pushed through the freezing night until we reached the Ambassador Hotel in Passu Valley, where hot water, electricity, and comfort awaited. We ended the night around a crackling bonfire, laughing, sharing stories, and soaking in the magic of the mountains before finally calling it a night.
