Atlantis Carbon 595 REAR LOUNGE motorhome review.

In this video, I perform a walkthrough of the 2026 Atlantis Carbon 595. This vehicle is the world’s first Fiat Ducato-based motorhome to have a 100% carbon fiber monocoque shell. Built using racing-yacht technology, the Carbon 595 replaces traditional fiberglass with two layers of carbon fiber and a PVC foam core, resulting in a shell that is 130kg lighter and significantly more impact-resistant. I examine the "Dinette XL" layout, the impressive 180L fresh water capacity, and the technical advantages of this lightweight, wood-free construction. Combi 6 D/E Diesel/Electric) Fridge: 130L 12V Compressor EQUIPMENT PACKAGES & TECHNICAL BUILD: I have detailed the specific technical packages included in the 2026 Carbon edition: Carbon Monocoque Pack: Includes the dual-layer carbon shell with PVC insulation and a high-gloss gelcoat. This construction offers up to 30% weight reduction over traditional GRP shells. Winter Technical Pack: Features a lightweight insulated double floor housing all plumbing and an electric drain valve for the waste tank. Interior Comfort Pack: Includes the "SkyView" panoramic cab roof, electric rear drop-down bed (185 x 140 cm), and a full dry bathroom with a heated towel rack and two-part glass shower door. Garage Pack: Rear garage adjustable for height with a 1.20m maximum clearance, 250kg load capacity, and insulated/heated interior lining. HOW IT COMPARES TO RIVALS: vs. Wingamm Oasi 540 / 610: While Wingamm is the benchmark for fiberglass monocoques, the Atlantis Carbon 595's use of carbon fiber provides superior structural rigidity and a lighter curb weight (approx. 2,900kg). This allows me a much larger payload margin on a 3.5t license. Furthermore, the 180L fresh water tank in the Atlantis is significantly larger than the standard tanks found in the Oasi range. vs. Chausson S514 Sport Line: The Chausson is a slim-bodied coachbuilt (2.10m wide). The Atlantis 595 is wider at 2.28m, which allows for the "XL Dinette" lounge that can seat up to five people. Technically, the Atlantis monocoque is a single-piece shell, meaning there are no structural joints to leak or flex over time, whereas the Chausson uses traditional panel-and-joint construction. vs. Hymer ML-T 570: The Hymer utilizes a Mercedes Sprinter chassis, which is excellent for driving dynamics, but it is nearly a meter longer. The Atlantis Carbon 595 provides a similar "luxury boutique" interior in a sub-6m footprint that is far easier to park in urban environments. The carbon fiber shell also offers much higher resistance to mechanical impacts (such as hail) than the aluminum-skinned walls of the Hymer.
