Oz: Weekend downpours/rain in SA, Vic, NSW, + monitoring the tropics next week

Wet weather returns to southern parts of Australia this weekend and into early next week with some hit and miss pockets of significant rainfall in 24 hour periods - but it won't be for all. We break down which areas are most exposed to wet weather - and which areas are borderline, and those that look dry. It's still a bit of a messy set-up but 7 day rainfall maps show a similar story of rain in central and southern Australia spillover eastwards going into next week around Vic and southern NSW after likely bringing decent rain to parts of SA first. The tropics is fairly quiet at the moment, with the usual thunderstorms and rain/showers - but next week a few lows will be worth tracking as they could deliver more severe weather risks.
