Description

The Mitsubishi Triton Raider is the most hardcore, factory-backed ute from Mitsubishi yet. Built in collaboration with Australian outfit Premcar, the Raider gets uprated suspension, new wheels and tyres, some badging and underbody protection. At $74,990 driveaway, though, the Raider isn’t cheap — in fact it’s about $10K dearer than the GSR on which it’s based. And for those who haven’t driven it, the upgrades sound a lot like what you can do in the aftermarket on any dual-cab, like the Toyota Hilux, Nissan Navara, Kia Tasman and others. Good news is, there’s more than meets the eye with any Premcar project and the Raider is no different. Road test editor John Law flies to Adelaide for a first road drive of Mitsubishi’s latest project — and hopes a Ralliart is on the way soon.
