Hamilton music teacher wins Teacher of the Year Award at Junos

Raquel McIntosh, a music teacher from Adelaide Hoodless Elementary School in Hamilton, earned the MusiCounts Teacher of the Year Award at Sunday’s Juno ceremony. During the award ceremony at Hamilton’s TD Coliseum, McIntosh was honoured with the award which recognizes music education excellence. The award is presented by Anthem Entertainment through CARAS/The Juno Awards’ charity MusiCounts. Winners receive a Juno statuette, $10,000 cash and a grant for their schools music program.
