Australian Magpie Dad doesn't want it - Mum takes it and chick gets it - tag-team grasshopper!

This was afternoon and when you find a grasshopper and know where your magpies are you do something with it. Here Dad is looking towards the north-east - the direction lots of territorial disputes have been happening lately. Side-note here. Maybe this was a grasshopper Mum wouldn't want herself. Yeah, she ate a drumstick but I'm sure the different species all taste different to each other and maybe this was something she wasn't keen on either. So give it to the chick. Not sure but it's plausible. My magpie whispering involves a lot of untestable theories. There are lots of grasshoppers/locusts/katydids about at the moment despite it getting a bit dryer lately. Plenty of food so the magpies have some choice. It's been a while since I've seen Lil Sis actually get fed by one of her parents.
