THE LEGENDARY STAR WARS CANYON LOW FLYING JETS - 4K

As we head into 2026 I bring you some lost footage from my archive from a trip to Star Wars canyon in Death Valley, California. For all Who don’t know, Star Wars Canyon was part of the U.S. military's R-2508 training complex since the 1930s, used for low-altitude fighter jet maneuvers nicknamed the "Jedi Transition". Pilots from the US navy, United States Air Force and US marines navigated the narrow canyon at speeds up to 500mph Similar to the Death Star trench run in Star Wars. Since the sad mishap of 2019 military jets still fly to the canyon but are no longer permitted to fly below 1500feet. Star Wars canyon was a photographers dream for its variety of aircraft, stunning backdrop of colors and its ease to vantage points with great light.
