It is also known as Peruvanam Arattupuzha Pooram, reflecting its close association with the Cherpu, Peruvanam, and Tharakkal Poorams that precede it. A major attraction of the celebration is the famed Sasthavinte Melam, an impressive percussion performance featuring more than 200 artists.
