Watch this landfall of the strongest #hurricane to ever strike Jamaica. The minimum pressure dipped down to 895 mb just as category 5 Hurricane #Melissa is making landfall west of Black River, Jamaica. A 15-20 foot storm surge, catastrophic flooding, and wind gusts to 200 mph are slamming the western side of Jamaica. This hurricane is moving north along the 78 deg W longitude line, heading straight for the Montego Bay area next. This storm is also barreling in to 3,000 foot mountains, which will be shredded by the strong winds just above ground.
