Description

Fiddler crabs are excellent bait for sheepshead, but can be tough to find in the winter! Here are 3 tips to find them! 📍Location - Muddy shorelines with soft sand and debris like grass, rocks, and tree limbs. 🕳️ Look for Holes - Nickel- and dime-sized holes with fresh dirt around them indicate there are fiddler crabs burrowing in the ground. 🦀 Dig Them Up - Use a tool, paddle, etc., to dig down beside the hole and flip the dirt up to reveal the fiddler crabs. If you don't see them immediately, just spread the dirt around until you find them or move on to the next hole.
