Sport phased out sex test in the 1990s but it's making a comeback. The new governing body of boxing has announced it will sex test all athletes but specifically named Algeria's Olympic champion Imane Khelif. In what might surprise many, a simple sex test reveals far more than the binary options of XX female and XY male. Dr Ada Cheung is Professor of Endocrinology at Melbourne University who explains in layman's terms the complex science.
