Direction Action Message from HMNZS Aotearoa | Royal New Zealand Navy

HMNZS Aotearoa has recently been patrolling in the Indo Pacific as part of NZ Defence Force’s contribution to the monitoring of UN Security Council sanctions against North Korea. This support also includes the refuelling of partner naval vessels. A Direct Action message is transmitted to shipping in the patrol area warning of the consequences of violating sanctions aimed at persuading North Korea to denuclearise and abandon its ballistic missile capabilities.
