Very heavy 600 tonne transport with 96 wheels escorted by police

A large manufacturing press is transported as a 600 tonne transport through Gloucestershire. Police shut down roads and traffic is diverted for the wide load heading to a factory near Gloucester. The Manufacturing Press is one of several that have been delivered to G-TEM in Brockworth with a number of other components arriving at the Port of Sharpness as abnormal loads. G-TEM specialises in manufacturing vehicle body structures. Allelys transported the manufacturing press on a modular flat top trailer of multiple axles to spread the weight over a larger area. The combination was pulled/pushed by MAN TGX tractor unit. The gross weight being 600 tonnes. Gloucestershire Police escorted the oversized load from the Port of Sharpness to Brockworth via the M5 motorway. Several police cars and motorcycles were used to shut down roads as the heavy load travelled.
