A trio of Porsche 718 Cayman GTS’ set off from Bengaluru to Hampi. With only a handful of 718 GTS’ in the country, this was a rare coming together — three cars, three owners, one common obsession. What makes it special isn’t the spec or the numbers. It’s the recipe. Light, compact and perfectly sized for our roads, the 718 GTS feels thrilling at real-world speeds. That naturally aspirated 4.0-litre flat-six boxer sings all the way to the 7,800 rpm redline, the chassis talks back, and every kilometre is an event. Raw, precise and wonderfully usable, the 718 GTS is simply the perfect sportscar. A pity Porsche has stopped making it.
