According to the Louisville Metro Police Department, on April 26th at approximately 10:36 P.m., LMPD officers responded to a 911 call from a home in the 1600 block of Lincoln Avenue. The caller said her father in the home was intoxicated, got into an argument, grabbed his gun and fired a shot into the floor. When officers arrived on scene, they encountered the man in the driveway. He was visibly distraught and holding a gun to his head. Other people hiding inside the home remained on the phone with 911 communicating with dispatchers. The officer involved in this situation is Sergeant Kris Pedigo. Sergeant Pedigo has 17 years of service at the Louisville Metro Police Department. He's currently assigned to the 6th Division Patrol Division. The suspect in this incident has been identified as Daniel Gish 55 years old. Police said Officers acted quickly to get those individuals outside to safety. However, one person remained inside the home as the man re-entered from his back door. Sergeant Chris Pedigo was inside the home and was trying to get the last person out and commanded the man to drop the gun before firing his assigned patrol rifle one time, striking him in the arm. Gish was transported to the University of Louisville Hospital for treatment for his injuries. He has since been released and is charged with felony wanton endangerment, 1st degree (police officer). Wanton endangerment in the first degree is: 1 A person is guilty of wanton endangerment in the first degree when, undercircumstances manifesting extreme indifference to the value of human life, he or she wantonly engages in conduct which creates a substantial danger of death or serious physical injury to another person. 2. Wanton endangerment in the first degree is a Class D felony, unless the person discharges a firearm in the commission of the offense, in which case it is a Class C felony. - Ref: https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=55471 Please Subscribe! ✅If ever you want to encourage me and support the channel informative and contextual content you could toss a $1 or $2 one-time tip or more if you want at: 💲https://www.paypal.me/VideoLeakPolice .
