How to ensure the IEC 320 power cable plug is securely connected to the IEC socket?

This video demonstrates the correct method of inserting IEC320 power cables. IEC connectors typically provide tactile feedback to indicate when the connection is fully engaged. It is not sufficient for the plug to simply come in loose contact with the socket. In this state, the connection will be loose, and the plug can wiggle. Refer to the image on the left.
