Description

This is how it should be done when industry and operational needs come together to create a solution for the warfighter. From lessons learned during Operation Epic Fury in Iran, the A-10 community said Hawgs need a more compatible air refueling system, and Eaton Mission Systems answered the call. Eaton created a prototype probe in about 90 days. One month after flight testing, these probe adapter kits were certified and fitted to A-10 Hawgs deployed to the Middle East. Fitted with probes, the Hawgs can now refuel from HC-130s and MC-130s, which operate at lower altitudes and airspeeds than the KC-135s. The Hawgs probe allows about 1000 pounds a minute to flow into their tanks. #aviation #avgeek #military #airforce #army #navy #usmc #pilot #pilotlife #flight #flying #fly #aircraft #airplane #plane #jet #airport #photo #photography #video #videoviral #viralvideos #lessonsfromthecockpit #podcast #show
