I had to learn this the hard way for the last 10 years. As a fitness instructor, I freaking LOOOVE doing different workouts every day, it keeps things excited. But, it kept me looking soft.
Sure, I got a great workout. Sweating. Breathless. Feeling accomplished.
But when Iâd look at myself in the mirror, not much would change.
This is a hard pill to swallow (even for me), but repetition is KEY. Meaning, you have to do the same workouts for at LEAST 3 weeks to give your body enough time to build muscle before switching it up. This is called progressive overload and it WORKS.
