On January 16th, I decided to hop-out and see about catching some trains in downtown Athens, mainly as I wanted to see about getting at least one video of McClellan Street while it was still mid-upgrade. When I got out here, I found that a southbound was already lined through Athens, so I decided to set-up here at Lee Street and wait for it. After about half an hour of waiting, I was able to catch my first train of the day: a southbound CSX phosphate train with a pair of ES40DCs pulling it for power.
As you can see, nothing has changed to this crossing since I last recorded it in action. I will kinda admit, I do always enjoy filming this crossing on the east side of it, thanks to this nice view off the side of the hill here.
