Lee Street Railroad Crossing, Athens, AL

*originally recorded on 1-16-26* Signal on the left: 1.5 pairs of Safetran 12x24 inch lights with WCH 2nd Generation LEDs, 1 Safetran 12x24 inch light with a Leotek EV Series LED, and a General Signals Type 2 electronic bell. Signal on the right: 2 pairs of Safetran 12x24 inch lights with WCH 2nd Generation LEDs. On January 16th, I decided to hop-out and see about catching some trains in downtown Athens, mainly as I wanted to see about getting at least one video of McClellan Street while it was still mid-upgrade. When I got out here, I found that a southbound was already lined through Athens, so I decided to set-up here at Lee Street and wait for it. After about half an hour of waiting, I was able to catch my first train of the day: a southbound CSX phosphate train with a pair of ES40DCs pulling it for power. As you can see, nothing has changed to this crossing since I last recorded it in action.
