The government urges residents in areas where piped gas is available to obtain a PNG connection immediately. This initiative has been undertaken to alleviate the pressure on LPG cylinders and to ensure doorstep delivery of gas to the public. Speaking at a press conference, Arun Kumar Jha, Additional Commissioner of the Delhi Government's Department of Food Supplies and Consumer Affairs, stated that the government aims to extend PNG access to every household. He clarified that in localities where piped gas is available—yet residents have not yet obtained a connection—the supply of their LPG cylinders could potentially be impacted in the future.
