Description
In this episode of Gourmet On The Road, I visited and inaugurated Namma Filter Coffee & Tiffins, a true coffee lover's paradise, serving traditional brews like Malenadu blend, Maharaja coffee, Kumbakonam coffee, and a special Bengaluru CBD coffee. But the real heart of this spot is the food, all made from the home recipes of the owner's mother, Mrs. Anusuya Prakasam.
I tasted the softest rice idli with a spicy yet addictive peanut chutney that's tamed with a dollop of white butter. Next up was a flavorful red rice sagu dosae roasted over a wood fire, followed by a wonderfully crunchy moringa and banana blossom masala vade.
To cap off this thindi trail, a comforting ven pongal and a spot of indulgence in a badam halwa sourced from a legendary Mysuru institution, before closing it all with a glass of piping hot CBD filter coffee. This is more than just a café; it's a celebration of authentic, wholesome South Indian tiffin.
Happy Eating!
