Jungle Crow Eats Snow beside the Den Entrance of Japanese Raccoon Dogs in the Woods

One or two Jungle Crows (aka large-billed crow; Corvus macrorhynchos, family Corvidae) visiting the winter den site of Japanese raccoon dogs (Nyctereutes viverrinus, family Canidae) in the leafless secondary forest. The jungle crow curiously peeked into the burrow entrance, but it didn’t dare to enter inside. After that, the crow fed on the frozen snow nearby to quench thirst. Captured with my new trailcam in the sunny midmorning (around 8:25 AM) of mid-February 2025 in Japan.
