Adidas Made The Most ILLEGAL Shoe Yet

Adidas made an illegal running shoe and it just broke one of the wildest world records in history. This is the Adidas Adizero Prime X Evo. A $500 shoe built for one purpose: to run faster than anything the rules allow. Last August, South African ultrarunner Sibusiso Kubheka wore a custom prototype version of this shoe and became the first person in history to run 100km in under 6 hours, clocking 5:59:20. But because of the shoe's 50mm+ foam stack, the record doesn't officially count. World Athletics only allows 40mm. This is the commercial version, still completely illegal at 50mm, still absurd in every way, and genuinely one of the most interesting shoes I've ever put on my feet.
