A Cinematic Travel Film through my home country during Winter. Honestly, Winter was always my least favourite season, I was always drawn to tropical weather and warmer climates.
This year however, I decided I wanted to explore my country more and see it in a different way which lead me to creating this film. I really wanted to make you feel like you came along on the journey and witnessed and experienced some of the beauty this country has to offer. In order to bring the film to life I needed two solid sound tracks which reflected the ever changing landscapes here in New Zealand.
From the wintery blues of Aoraki and Mount Cook to the warm rolling hills of Canterbury and Napier, I decided to use two songs which heightened the mood of each location.
Tracks used:
Vesky - Distance
Matt Fax - To the Ground

This film is made up of 45 timelapses, 2 hyperlapses, 1000+ GB of footage from around the country and 50,000+ individual photos. I mostly used the Sony A7riii and the A6400 for shots, a few clips were from a 1dxii and the drone is a Mavic 2 Pro. All content was filmed in the span of 12 days and edited over four weeks.
Huge thank you to Ron and Rob for helping with the shots of me in this video, find their dope content @robert_nairn / @ron.hp
Enjoy beautiful Aotearoa!
