Erdferkel sind nachtaktiv 4K

Erdferkel teilen manche Körpermerkmale (rüsselförmige Schnauze, große, tütenförmige Ohren, Hautfarbe,..) mit Hausschweinen, sind jedoch nicht mit diesen verwandt. Sie sind die einzige Art der Ordnung der Röhrenzähner (Tubulidentata). Sie sind Nahrungsspezialisten für Termiten und Ameisen und keine Allesfresser. Im Freiland leben sie einzelgängerisch, sind nachtaktiv und graben im Erdreich, was insgesamt ihre Beobachtung sehr erschwert. Aardvarks share some body characteristics (trunk-shaped snout, large, bag-shaped ears, skin color, etc.) with domestic pigs, but are not related to them. They are the only species of the order Tubulidentata. They are food specialists for termites and ants and are not omnivores. In the wild, they live solitary lives, are nocturnal and burrow in the ground, which makes them very difficult to observe.
