This creator has the BEST advice on how to deal with fearmongering doomer creators on social media. And I'm not just saying that because it's the same advice I've been giving folks for a year. PROTECT YOUR PEACE. Permaculture says, "Set limits to consumption." If consuming content from fearmongering creators is harmful for you, BLOCK THEM. SET LIMITS. A note here: I'm not linking to the fearmongering creators I mention in this video. Don't want them to get your clicks. I know I said most of these creators are white men, but there are a few women creators that get referenced in my comments a lot that I think people may not realize work for orgs and businesses that don't have your best interest at heart. There's some hypocrisy, there. They say they're informing you, but they spread misinformation and use a "concerned" voice to scare you with exaggerated claims and predictions that don't pan out. Likewise, there's a HUGE creator people mention to me a lot, and I don't think y'all know she works for a big AI company and has her own agenda...she definitely spreads misinformation while acting like an authority on all kinds of subjects. I try to gently redirect folks to credible sources, but I thinks it's always good for us to have a healthy dose of skepticism and VERYIFY before we boost creators online...
