How To Get A Squirrel Selfie

How did I get this selfie with a squirrel? Well I first saw him up in this tree, looking a little too chubby too climb up there – someone must have stored him there instead. So I knocked on it. Like a door. Which is weird, because trees don’t have doors. The squirrel freezes. He’s like, “…I wasn’t expecting company.” Then he runs down the tree and I fluff his tail for some reason, don’t ask me why, but obviously that wass step one. Then we go on to step 2, I offer him some seeds, and he accepts, and start petting his little head like I’m his BARBER or something (laugh)… and I’m sure somewhere a barber heard that metaphor and was so disappointed that his clippers just slipped out of his hand in slow motion… For step 3, I give start to give him a tiny belly rub — and apparently that unlocks THIS bonus level. Now he’s upside down, eating from my hand, … like a fuzzy USB cable that was plugged into the tree… but instead of charging electricity he was charging ME…SNACKS! Sometimes you knock, and the door opens, so you can help a little forest friend charge up for the cold winter months. “Connection complete.”
