The mochi itself, which has a delightful mugwort aroma, is made with a very soft daifuku dough using Shiga-grown Habutae glutinous rice. The filling is a gently sweet coarse bean paste made with adzuki beans from Tokachi, Hokkaido. It's a fresh confection that has a simple yet refined taste, with the fragrant flavor of mugwort.
