What Happened to the Wastelandia Pilot?

Did you know this in wastelandia? Recently we got an update on the future of the indie animation called wastelandia. What happened to it? Let me explain. So in april of last year youtuber izzyzz uploaded the pilot for wastelandia. It was a 6 minute slice of life comedy about 3 anthropomorphic animal characters. However for the last 8 months or so there hasn’t been any updates about it, causing fans to get a little concerned. Well we got our answer. The other day over on instagram izzyzz put up a couple stories explaining whats going on. In the first one she answers if it’s cancelled, saying it’s just on the back burner. She worked hard on scenes to get more made but it didn’t work out. She’s working on more projects. She includes an image of a future character called donny. In a follow up she says she loves the project and wants to do more, but the stars didn’t align. She’s keeping concept art and stuff private as she works on it in private. Lastly she shows off two more characters, one being shyla. So basically the project is on ice for the moment, but could return in the future. Personally i think this was a good decision. Izzyzz is taking time to work on other things, but keeping the door open to return to wastelandia in the future. If it does return i hope there’s some merch like plushies, i think those would be a cute way for fans to support the show. So what do you think? Did you watch wastelandia?
