They Never Expected The Parking Lot To Collapse! A container was left sitting on freshly paved asphalt during a California heat wave. The landing gear slowly sank into the surface until the entire trailer rolled over. This is far more common than most people realize and is one of the reasons we always recommend landing gear pads or wood cribbing when containers are stored off a tractor. I see this time and time again and honestly, don't expect it to stop. People think once you're outside, the ground is invincible. But as you can clearly see here, that just is not true. This recovery may look simple, but it perfectly demonstrates how quickly things can go wrong when heavy equipment and poor ground conditions meet.
