Ingredients List
* Chilean Cherries: 200 gm (pitted and chopped for pulp)
* Water: 2 cups (for the tea base) + 1/4 cup (for blending the pulp)
* Tea Bags: 2 (mildly flavored, like green or light black tea)
* Cinnamon Stick: 1 large
* Rosemary: 1 fresh stem (plus extra for garnish)
* Lemon: 1 large (juiced)
* Sweetener: Honey or sugar (to tasteâChilean cherries are naturally very sweet!)
* Extra Cherries: A few chopped pieces for serving/texture
* Optional Spirits: Rum or Vodka (for the cocktail version)
* Ice Cubes: As needed (if serving cold)
.
Recipe -
- Take 200 gm Cherries and Make Pulp. I have used Cherries from Chile which are juicy and sweet. (Remove the seeds of the cherry, cut into small pieces, take it in a blender jar and add 1/4 cup of water, blend it smooth)
- Now in a pan, take 2 cups of water.
- Into that add, 2 tea bags of your choice (I will prefer mild flavoured tea bags).
- Once you get amber color, remove the tea bags. (Because we donât very strong tea flavour).
- Then add 1 large cinnamon stick and 1 rosemary stem.
- Bring it to boil. Turn off the heat, let the tea cool down a bit.
- Then add prepared Cherry Pulp, One Lemon Juice and honey for sweetness (you can add sugar if you wish optionally).
- Mix the tea well.
- For serving, add some chopped cherries into a glass, then pour the prepared tea, garnish with cinnamon stick and rosemary.
- You may have this tea warm as well cold on the rocks. (With ice cubes).
