To enhance safety and ensure a comfortable journey for passengers, Southern Railway has notified the conversion of the existing Conventional rake of the following trains into LHB (Linke-Hofmann-Busch) Coaches. The date of induction of LHB coaches for Train Nos. 22639/22640 and Train Nos. 12695/12696 which was earlier notified to be effective from February, has now been revised and the induction of LHB coaches for the above-mentioned trains will now be implemented from March 2026: Train No. 22639/22640 Dr MGR Chennai Central – Alappuzha – Dr MGR Chennai Central Superfast Express will run with LHB coaches Ex. Dr MGR Chennai Central o­n and from 01st March 2026 and Ex.
