Description

What does it mean to say that Scripture is 'inspired'? We see that Scripture is what it is because God is who He is. In Scripture, God Himself speaks and offers us His Son and all that He has won for us. By hearing Scripture with faith, we do more than learn about Jesus: we enter into a relationship with Him. This is part four in a five-part Master Class series on 'Word of Life: How Inspired Scripture Gives Us Jesus'. 4. The Inspired Reader So far, we have seen that the Bible offers Jesus to us: God’s Word was inspired by the Holy Spirit to proclaim the Good News to us. Now we will see that as we hear the Bible that the Spirit inspires us to believe the Good News about the Son. The work of the Spirit in inspiring us is not the same as the Spirit’s work in inspiring the authors of the Bible, but it is similar. ‘I heard the voice of Jesus say, “Behold, I freely give The living water; thirsty one, Stoop down, and drink, and live”’. - Horatius Find more great talks like this at https://www.FOCLonline.org.
