Suspect Plays Nice with Officer, Then Shoots Him Out of Nowhere

A suspect seemed to comply a Memphis Police Officer Torres-Molina during a traffic stop, telling the officer that he had a gun, which the officer removed, but suddenly pulling out a second weapon and shooting the officer in the face when asked about the VIN number on his vehicle being scratched off. The suspect, Danell Maxwell, was tracked down and arrested by U.S. Marshals last week after a mutli-month manhunt, while the officer survived his injuries.
