January 17-23, 2026 ‘Your President At Work’ this week features President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.’s attendance at Philippine Airlines’ 85th anniversary celebration, which included the unveiling of its newest long-haul aircraft, the Airbus A350-1000, the first in Southeast Asia and the tenth worldwide. Since the start of his term, the President has aimed to improve the country’s infrastructure. The inauguration of the Antique Airport Development Projects shows that the nation’s air transportation system is being upgraded. It now includes additional check-in counters, an air traffic control tower, an administrative building, and other facilities to boost passenger comfort. During his statement at the inspection of the Sum-Ag Water Treatment Plant in Negros Occidental, the Chief Executive emphasized the importance of water for health and daily life. The Administration is also working on providing treated water to benefit communities in southern Bacolod City. Besides water treatment, the President is also working to improve the welfare of the agriculture sector. He inspected the Rice Processing System (RPS) facility in Hamtic, Antique and provided various forms of assistance to farmers and fishermen. The Administration's accomplishments go beyond upgrading facilities and transportation. Every medal our athletes win is viewed as a national victory. Therefore, the President took time to join the athletes at the Parangal at Pasasalamat sa mga Bayaning Atleta: “A Homecoming Celebration for the 33rd Southeast Asian (SEA) Games Athletes.” It was a proud moment as the nation showed gratitude and acknowledged the exceptional talent of Filipino athletes.
