This is one of the coolest things that happens EVERY DAY in Disney World and most people never see it! At Magic Kingdom every afternoon, Cast Members hold a Flag Retreat to retire the American flag for the night – complete with trumpet fanfare, the Dapper Dans, and a heartfelt ceremony to thank veterans for their service, sacrifice and dedication to protecting our country. My favorite part is that Cast Members choose a veteran or two to assist in the ceremony and be honored and thanked along Main Street U.S.A.
