Red Fox investigates a Raccoon - After Dark on The Cove - 6 March 2026 #wildlife #nature

Our first raccoon visitor of the year appeared at our Cormierville, New Brunswick 🇨🇦 bird feeders after dark last evening, March 6, 2026. At one point the raccoon stopped, listened and quickly ran into the bushes. A Red Fox then appeared and seemed to be interested in whatever had just run off. The fox made a couple of aborted charges but I think once he realized it was a raccoon he lost interest. The raccoon returned and resumed feeding after a couple of minutes.
